CREATOR OF BULABUL
CREATOR OF BULABUL
My name is Jayden Young. I am a proud Barkindji and Wiradjuri man and I am the creator of Bulabul. I have been working in the community since I was 18 years old and have worked across many different sectors including Out of Home Care, NDIS support, Juvenile Justice and Education. As a young man I started to learn more and more about my culture through my uncles, who helped me start my cultural journey. I am very passionate about my culture and I am passionate about helping the next generation find connection. From a young age all I wanted to do was work in my community and I have been lucky enough do so now for a number of years.

WHY BULABUL WAS CREATED
WHY BULABUL WAS CREATED
Over the years it has become apparent to me that young people are increasingly feeling disconnected, isolated, and lost on their journeys. Culture was a lifeline for me and I believe it can have a life-changing impact on an individual. I saw there was a lack of access to culture for so many young people so I created Bulabul in hopes to share its importance. Bulabul was created to bring people together and share culture with all. It is important that our young First Nations people learn about their culture but it is also important that our Non-Indigenous brothers and sisters learn too, so that we can walk together in unity.
